Woman-Owned Healthcare Company Appoints Corporate Medical Director

Clyde Heflin, M.D., renowned pulmonologist, has been named Corporate Medical Director for Breathe Easy Respiratory Solutions, Inc., (BERS). Breathe Easy is a woman-owned disease management company specializing in invasive and non-invasive respiratory care and primarily focuses on transition care from facility to home.

Dr. Heflin attended Vanderbilt University and has an academic appointment at Vanderbilt University. Previously, he was in private practice at St. Thomas Hospital and the chief medical officer at St. Thomas Medical Services. He is currently medical director at Kindred Hospital and the Remeo Unit, Bordeaux Hospital.

Breathe Easy offers a comprehensive disease management program administered by licensed respiratory therapists. A transition team working together with hospitals and skilled care facilities, Breathe Easy prevents unnecessary admissions and readmissions by offering a program consisting of medication review, nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation and more.
